Excellent edition, David. Your investigative skills are on display as you dig up the dead bodies on development, the school board and the rest of the shenanigans. I love the racist charge. If one can't form an argument hurl racism. As to Villanueva I don't know. When Dawyn Harrison the acting or perhaps actual county counsel tugged Kuehl's coat on the warrant I thought "conflict" as the county counsel represents the sheriff's department as well. This would be a mortal sin in private practice; however, a friend a former high ranking county counsel who advised the board said no. He had raised the issue of conflict and was told by his superior that the CC represented the Board, first, last and foremost. That raises another question. The county counsel represents the Board as a body not its individual members. Finally, I am hesitant of the constitutionality of one elected body cancelling the electorate's choice on an another elected official. Obviously the Board controls the purse strings for all the department's including the sheriff's. I will be watching the results of the various dogfights Tuesday night w my popcorn. Yes, vote. My dad always said, "If you don't vote you're just part of the mob.". The republic will stand. It's just with today's communication we peasants are in on the shenanigans. Tammany Hall on NYC, vote early and vote often in Chicago and of course my all time favorite of diversity, equity and inclusivity by Nury Martinez et. al. It was funny w the exception of picking on a toddler. Thanks for keeping us posted.
So the public is quick to call Black men 'anti-semitic' but wrong to call Luna 'anti-Black' based on his track record in Long Beach? When any group is attacked Black people pay the price when you're non Black its swept under the rug.
I think with the "revelation" of the leaked audio tapes the intentions of the unions et. al. are to sling mud to ensure their agendas are carried out at the elected officials behest.
Villanueva has shortcomings but also has valid points when it comes to the elected officials using their office to smear him on things that most law enforcement agencies face i.e. lawsuits, retaliation and discrimination. The AG just ruled that an LAPD OIS didn't warrant charges. Torrance cpt. just received a settlement. All agencies have issues, which are not exclusive to LASD.
Sadly true, the fear and loathing runs deep. It's hard to understand the former president's control of the party. A 60 Minutes interwire pretty much tells it all. https://twitter.com/60Minutes/status/1586859240530092033
